hi
rubber flooring is the best option for your gym(? gymnastic). rubber floors allow you to stay safe when exercising because your movement is not restricted. Your feet are also more comfortable standing on the harder surface than they would be on carpet or tile. Our bodies do not like to be standing on concrete floors or on uneven ground. It sets our body out of alignment so any floor that can help keep you up right and in alignment is better. The rubber does require some care and certainly the right type of shoes, like those you would wear on a gymnasium floor. When exercises you should have these types of shoes on anyway. |

Hi,
I hv done one gym in bangalore wherein i hv used vinyl flooring. differenr thicknesses are available at different costs. If u hv the budget, u can go for 3mm thick. u require an anti skeed surface of the flooring there which is not possible with wooden flooring. |

| There are several floor types that you could use. It depends on the things you want to do in the gym (e.g. aerobic or football). Vinyl or wood are normally good choices as carpets for a gym. Vinyl is cheaper and easier to clean but probably more vulnerable to damages. |

| How to exercise without going to a gym? I normally go to a boxing gym to get my exercise in but recently my working patterns are making this very difficult. I live in a very small apartment and can't really make much noise. I also can't really go jogging outside because I live in a bit of a rough area and would only be home at night. I can't afford to go to a gym that would be open during the late nights, How can I get my exercise in? I hate it when I can't exercise and really need some tips on how to do it indoors. |

There are tile gym floors designed to have the same rigid feel as a wooden floor, with less noise and no moisture problems. Gym flooring tiles are installed over rubber underlay for added noise reduction and surface flexibility. However, moisture always finds its way through the seams of tile into the rubber underlay.
